Chelsea is a jazz vocalist and singer\songwriter. She studied Music and Psychology at Chapman University, where she earned a Bachelor's in Music Therapy. Since then she has worked as a Teaching Artist at All the Arts for All the Kids and an Artist-in-Residence for the Johnny Mercer Foundation, teaching lyric writing to at-risk youth. Two songs from her 2015 album, Caged Bird, were featured on NPR in LA Theater Works’ production of the award-winning play THE WHIPPING MAN, by Matthew Lopez. Caged Bird, which was produced with creative oversight from Grammy-winning jazz arranger Bill Cunliffe, is an evocative musical journey that combines elements of jazz, pop, and musical theater. Her recent musical ventures include duos Roseport and JØAN, whose songs have been heard in ads, trailers and on TV. She is currently writing her next album, as well as working as the lyricist/composer on Liquid's musical, MARIAN.
