In November of 2013, Damian’s long-awaited memoir, Voice: A Stutterer’s Odyssey, hit bookshelves nationwide through Behler Publications. In this riveting memoir, Damian shares his thirty-year struggle as a severe stutterer, how he overcame this harsh impediment, and, ultimately, the victory that came through performing and writing. After its successful Los Angeles workshop/reading and its development deal with Florida State University, Damian’s Coffee Stains —an original family dramedy— is being produced and developed alongside Tony award-nominated Broadway producer, Heather Provost (Reasons To Be Pretty, Title of Show). Centering on a stuttering teenager who can only communicate through song, V-Voice, is an original musical based on the memoir, Voice: A Stutterer’s Odyssey. Developing the musical with lyricist and composer Keith Potts, and producer Heather Provost, Damian is serving as librettist for this touching and witty musical. Through his production company, Branded Maverick Entertainment, Damian released the short film thriller, Snapper, which he served as writer and director. Snapper garnered Best Drama Short at the prestigious Louisville Film Festival and The Prometheus Film Festival. The rom-com short—Huge! Red! Flag!—which Damian also wrote and directed—is currently making its film festival rounds. In May 2012, Damian was honored to receive “The Converting Awareness into Action” Award from The Stuttering Foundation in New York City along with Fox News’ John Stossell and NFL player Ellis Lankster. In May of 2014, alongside author Alan Rabinwoitz, journalist Vince Vawter, and literary agent Anna Olswanger, Damian was recognized by The Stuttering Foundation once again for his literary accomplishments in support of the stuttering community. Currently, Damian has authored three pilots for television and is pitching them to networks. Coffee Stains, the screenplay based on his play, is in development as well as the horror film, Among, which is penned by Damian and is in pre-production. Alongside Heather Provost, Damian served as co-director, writer and co-producer for the feature Racing Colt. Scott played the role of Sweeney in Liquid's film presention of SWEENEY TODD.
